Miss Supranational 2018, Valeria Vazquez, and Creative Director, Andre Sleigh, arrived in Bruges, Belgium yesterday for a four day visit to the country. Our team was welcomed by the hosts for this leg of the tour, Filip Vanden Berghe from Miss Items, Belgium’s number 1 pageant website, and the Miss Supranational Belgium Organization headed by Katia Maes and Jean Vandecasteele.

Valeria was welcomed in the most amazing Belgian way with loads of gifts including a stunning evening gown, flowers, Belgian chocolates, a fruit basket and of course amazing company. After the staff of the Velotel Brugge, her home for the next few days, officially welcomed her to the hotel, she was treated to a fabulous dinner at Da Vincenzo in the heart of Bruges. During a quick stroll around the city after dinner, Valeria commented, “Brugge is a gorgeous city. It’s like fairy tale city in real life. I can’t wait to get to learn more about the history and culture of this city and country. I’m so happy to be here!”

In Bruges, the organizing team planned a fabulous schedule for our queen including a visit to a chocolate museum, Belgian fries museum, a beer tasting and perfumery. She will also be taken on tours of all the historical sites, take part in a charitable activity, interviews and learn how to make real Belgian lace. Valeria will also be receiving an official welcome ceremony at the Bruges City Hall by local dignitaries, which will be a very special honor for our queen.
