The Miss Supranational 2021 Competition has started and 56 contestants from all continents have arrived in Poland. The contestants traveled from Nowy Sacz in the Malopolska Region to Krakow where they stayed at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in the heart of the Old Town. It was also the venue for the official sashing ceremony where each of the contestants received their country sash from the reigning queen, Anntonia Porsild from Thailand. The Miss Supranational pageant, which is considered as one of the most important & highly-anticipated world-class annual event has met with a lot of anticipation especially this year as the organizers prove that they can manage to hold the competition in the midst of the global pandemic.

Miss Puerto Rico, Karla Guilfú Acevedo feels blessed to wear the name of her beloved island. “The moment I heard my country’s name being called, I instantly walked towards the reigning queen Anntonia Porsild with so much pride, passion and love within my heart. It made me realize that everything I do in this life will always be accompanied by the love I carry for Puerto Rico,” she said.
