Our lovely Marie Anoushka Ah Keng, who was named Miss Supranational Africa 2018, has returned home after her Christmas and New Year’s holidays in Switzerland. Upon her return, a special surprise was waiting for her there – a special homecoming to Rodrigues.

In a first for this small island, two of their own, Anoushka and Miss World Mauritius 2018, Anne Murielle Ravina, made waves in their respective pageants. Anoushka was overcome with emotion when she left the airport with media, family, friends and fans waiting for her. “It’s so special. I really enjoyed it and I can certainly feel the love. Making Mauritius proud was always one of my most important goals.”

Reflecting on her Miss Supranational experience, Anoushka said, “I loved my Supra experience. Since the first day I arrived, I felt like I was at home. It was such a fabulous time, I didn’t want to leave my Supra Family, so it was hard to leave. Yes, I was happy to go home too, but it was sad at the same time. Everyone treated me so kindly and the girls really became like sisters. It was more than just a beauty contest – there was a family atmosphere throughout the three weeks of competition. I hope to return to my Supra family again someday soon.”
